Technical Symposium on "Advanced Communication Networks: Infrastructure and Services"

A Technical Symposium on "Advanced Communication Networks: Infrastructure and Services" was organised on 4 March 2003, 13:30-20:30, at the premises of OTE (Greek Telecommunications Organization) - Directory of Central Macedonia, in Thessaloniki.

The program of the symposium and the lectures' profile are given below:

1. N. Vervelidis, Director of OTE - Directory of Central Macedonia, "Reorganization of Telecommunications Enterprises in the deregulation Environment".

2. Th. Christidis, Senior Telecommunications Engineer, "Transmission-Multiplexing (SDH, WDM) on the backbone network".

3. G. Papadopoulou, Senior Telecommunications Engineer, "Broadband Data Networks".

4. M. Raptis, Senior Telecommunications Engineer, "Wireless and Satellite Communications".

5. N. Hatziiosifidis, Senior Telecommunications Engineer, "Access Techniques".

The Symposium had been very well attended by members of the Chapter, students and personnel of local organizations. During the event, pens and notebooks with the logo of the Chapter printed on them were distributed to the participants.
