Electrical Network Design

Abstract: The lecture will cover the following aspects in the selection of power transformers for the electrical substation: Voltage level and basic insulation level; - Vector group and polarity; Iron and copper losses; Voltage regulation and efficiency; Shoot circuit impedance; Tap changers; Oil characteristics; Transformer mechanical protection; choice between two winding and auto transformers. The lecture will also brief the Factory tests and site tests.
