IEEE Region 3 Awards

On Sunday April 1, 2001 IEEE Region 3, IEEE Regional Activities Board and the IEEE Region 3 Student Activities Committee held our annual awards banquet as part of IEEE SoutheastCon 2001.

The IEEE Regional Activities Board presented the following award to members of IEEE Region 3. The awards were presented by IEEE President Joel Synder and IEEE Region 3 Director Richard Riddle.

The IEEE Region 3 Awards Committee presents the following Regional Awards. The awards were presented by IEEE Region 3 Director and IEEE Region 3 Awards Committee Chair John Twitchell.

Outstanding Service Award	Dr. Robert J. Ashley, Florida West Coast Section
Joseph M. Biedenbach Outstanding Engineering Educator Award	Dr. Kalpathy B. Sundaram, Orlando Section
Outstanding Engineering Award	Dr. Armando J. Virgil, Orlando Section

The IEEE Region 3 Student Awards presented the following awards

Larry K Wilson Regional Student Activities Award	No Award this year
Student Branch Membership Growth Award	Virginia Polytechnicial Institute
Exemplary Student Branch Award	Georgia Institute of Technology
Outstanding Region 3 Student Branch	Georgia Institute of Technology
Outstanding Branch Counselor/Advisor Award	To Be Announced at end of April 2001
