Savannah Section Report

Savannah GA Section Update
22APR98 

The Savannah section has been fortunate enough to enjoy a busy spring. Meeting
topics have included:
Pulsed Laser Controllers by Kigre, Inc.
Fire Alarm Controls by Simplex, Corp.
Electrical Building Grounding by Southern Co. 

Timely presentations (such as Digital Cellular) and tours (such as our local
Airport Control Tower) should help us maintain the momentum. Although still
relatively small, our section membership is up overall by 7%. Of course, we
still have a lot of room for improvement. Areas of greatest concern include:
Organizing a GOLD Committee and nominating a PACE representative. Continued
assistance with local Science Fairs and other technical community activities
is also a concern. 

I'll be attending SouthEastCon98 with Charles Cobb (temporary PACE
spokesperson) and Bill Ratcliff (past section chairman and active Area3
representative). We all look forward to seeing you in Orlando!
