Awards and Recognition

Nominations for the major Region 3 awards are due in by December 1.
The Outstanding Engineer, Outstanding Service and Outstanding
Engineering Educator nominations should be sent to John Twitchell.
The Employer Professional Development nominations should be sent to
Dr. Donohoe, and the Professional Development nominations should go to
Don Hill.

I am pleased to report that a Region 3 member will be receiving an
IEEE USA award.  As soon as the member is notified by the IEEE USA
ARC, I will inform the Region.

Dr. Thomas Bellarmine, of Florida A & M University, has graciously
agreed to serve as Vice Chair of the Region 3 ARC. He will be a
welcome asset to the committee, and should greatly assist in
accomplishing long planned, but long delayed, goals.  Please welcome
Dr. Bellarmine.
