Subject: Leadership by Developing Others (LDO) Project Report 

The LDO Project and Pilot 1 teams have been formed and will start the
formal training program on Thursday afternoon, March 25 just prior to
SoutheastCon 2004 in Greensboro, NC.  The formal training will
continue on Friday morning , March 26.  A special LDO Overview session
will be held on Friday March 26, 2004 at 3-4:45 PM. This session is
primarily being offered for those members of the LDO Pilot 1 Team that
will miss the LDO Training sessions on Thursday afternoon (3/25/04)
and Friday morning (3/26/04).  Others who wish to attend are welcome.

In addition to a brief overview of the LDO we will be offering a short
workshop on how to join and use the IEEE Region 3 LDO Virtual
Communities (VC).  The LDO Project is committed to using the VC as our
primary media for collaboration and information exchange.

We also plan to offer additional LDO training using an interactive
web/voice system called Placeware.  A brief Introduction of Placeware
and proposed dates of the LDO training sessions will be offered during
the "Overview" session.

Although our primary reason for scheduling this "Overview" session is
an attempt to bring those members of LDO Pilot Team that missed the
LDO training up to speed, those members of the Project and Pilot Teams
and others that need training on VC and Placeware are welcome to
attend.
