Narrative:

We had a very successful year 2006 so far. We had 8 meetings and 2 ExCom 
meetings. Especially interesting was our August meeting which is our 
traditional fall semester kick off meeting with the student branch at the 
University of Kentucky. Usually we had it only as a picnic/barbecue meeting, 
this year we added a line following robot competition to it. We had only four 
robots enter the contest (one very excited nine year old girl with her 
father, and three students) the competition nevertheless attracted many other 
students to attend so that we had an outcome of approximately 70 to 100 
students. We definitely plan to keep the robot competition as one part of our 
fall kick off meeting.

We plan another technical meeting in November and a social meeting (jointly 
with the Louisville section in December. We also had plans for a senior 
membership drive for November 4, but I am not sure if we really manage it on 
that day.
