Florida Council/Area 4 Report 
5 March 2009 
 
 
The Florida Council of IEEE (FCIEEE) conducted its first face-to-face meeting of 2009 on 31 January, in Orlando, FL.  Discussion items included each Section's activities during the last quarter of 2008, Council's involvement with State's Science Fair, Council's and Region 3 Awards submissions, Council's website update, Membership development and POAC/PACE activities. 
 
Florida Council 2009 Goals: 

1. Hold at least 3 FCIEEE Meetings per year.
2. Have all Sections represented at SoutheastCon 2009.
3. Ensure all Sections have a Headquarters Signatures on all their accounts.
4. Ensure all Sections file their reports in time to receive the additional rebate.
5. Ensure that the FCIEEE Awards Chair is working closely with the Region Awards Chair.
6. Ensure that the FCIEEE Membership Chair is working closely with the Region Membership Chair.
7. Ensure that all of the information on the FCIEEE website is up-to-date.
8. Encourage all sections to use the calendar feature in the FCIEEE website.

 

Our next face-to-face meeting will be held during SoutheastCon 2009 in Atlanta, GA.
