Our second Student Branch Leadership Training Workshop was held in Atlanta at
the Georgia Power Headquarters on September 28 with a total of 26
participants. Student Branch representatives from Florida A&M
University/Florida State University (FAMU-FSU) , the University of Kentucky,
the University of Alabama Birmingham, Florida A&M University, and Georgia Tech
took part in the workshop. The Region 3 Student Activities Committee would
like to thank Chase Battaglio (Atlanta Section Vice-Chair and Section Student
Activities Chair) for her help in organizing the workshop.

Our third Student Branch Leadership Training Workshop will be held in Ft.
Lauderdale, Florida at the Nova Southeastern University on October 12.

IEEEXtreme 7.0 registration is now open through 11 October 00:00:00 UTC. This
year's competition will take place on 26 October 2013 at 00:00:00 UTC.
IEEEXtreme is a global challenge in which teams of IEEE Student members,
supported by an IEEE Student Branch, advised and proctored by an IEEE member,
compete in a 24-hour time span against each other to solve a set of
programming problems.
