Amal Zouaq is an Assistant Professor at the Royal Military College of Canada and an Adjunct Professor at Queen’s University, Athabasca University and Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.
Her research interests include Natural Language Processing, Semantic Web, Ontology Engineering, Knowledge Extraction and Technology-Enhanced Learning. She obtained her M.SC. and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Montreal (Canada). She was also a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal in 2009 and at Athabasca University and Simon Fraser University, funded by the FQRNT (Fonds Québécois de Recherchesur la Nature et les Technologies) in 2010.
She serves as a member of the program committee of various conferences in Semantic Web, Knowledge Engineering and Technology-Enhanced Learning and she is part of the editorial review board of the Interdisciplinary Journal of E-learning and Learning Objects and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Emerging Technologies in Web Intelligence. She also serves as a reviewer in many conferences and journals in knowledge and Data Engineering, Natural Language processing, eLearning and the Semantic Web.
