A workshop about Leadership skills was held on Wednesday on 1 March 2006 in the Activity building in the Maqam Campus in the United Arab Emirates University volunteered by Miss. Nada Saeed. The workshop is aimed at familiarizing attendees with the concept of Leadership, the role of a leader and how to build leadership traits in ourselves and others. The main objectives of this workshop were to improve the leadership skills of the student, and to help in preparing the students to the work area environment. A lot of facilities were used in performing this work shop such as power point slides, questionnaires, and lots of papers were studied and discussed about leader ship skills and how to improve them or even build them in the personalities. Groups were formed in the workshop of 3 to 4 students in each and the students were very active and they participated very professionally, which was very effective in achieving the main goals behind this workshop. After listening to Miss Nada's explanation and experience in the leadership field, questionnaires were distributed among the students and the discussion between the group members started to solve them. Finally, Miss Nada, Dr. Mawahib (WIE group leader) and the students were invited to a small buffet and some photos were taken to the workshop. Miss Sara Ahmed Al Muaini |
