A visit to BEL, Pashan, Pune. BEL is a world wide known company under central government of India. Its job is to manufacture equipments which are required by the defense organizations of India during war or to keep an eye on the borders. Hence its only customers are Indian army, Indian air force and Indian navy. No equipments for commercial use. Learn how electronics know-how keeps us safe in our homes!

IEEE is organizing an introductory workshop on MATLAB which is a high-level technical computing language and interactive environment for algorithm development, data visualization, data analysis, and numeric computation. You can use MATLAB in a wide range of applications, including signal and image processing, communications, control design, test and measurement. Participating students would get a tutorial CD, a certificate of participation and explanatory notes on the subject.

MATLAB is the most widely used programming and research software used by electronics professionals.

IEEE Xtreme is a global challenge in which teams of student members, supported by an IEEE Student Branch, advised and proctored by an IEEE Member, compete in a 24-hour time span against each other to solve a set of programming problems.

The challenge starts at 05:31am on Friday, 24 October 2009, and finishes at 05:31 on Sunday Teams will include up to 3 IEEE student members (Student members or Graduate Student members. All participants must be IEEE members
