Design Challenge

Competitors in the 2002 Design Challenge were asked to design a more ergonomic keyboard. The target market could be users with a specific disability or ordinary users. Groups ranged from 3-5 people, with each group receiving a keyboard, some Lego, pipe-cleaners, felt, plastic canvas, styrofoam, and access to soldering irons, glue guns, and a dremil tool. Creative juices were flowing, and each group worked industriously, right up to the climactic deadline. The winning team was KeyMBS:

Career Symposium

On Friday afternoon, sponsors and other interested agencies are invited to showcase products and come together with students to discuss research and commercial career opportunities in biomedical engineering.
