| The poster competition is intended to give students with interests in
biomedical engineering an opportunity to showcase work that they’ve done
independently, as part of their coursework/thesis, or in a related job. The
poster session also gives students a chance to share ideas and invite
comments from peers. A cash prize will be offered to the first placed poster
entered in the competition.

Design Challenge |

|
For this competition, assigned groups of students are given a biomedical engineering related problem, some appropriate materials, and 2 hours to produce a solution. The challenge is meant to be fun and explorative, giving students a chance to learn about biomedical problem solving, getting to know each other and having fun at the same time. |

Career Symposium |
| On Friday afternoon, sponsors and other interested agencies are invited to showcase products and come together with students to discuss research and commercial career opportunities in biomedical engineering. |
