OACETT Professional Practice Examination Seminar

=========================
Ottawa Chapter to Run PPE Seminar
May 5-6, 2007 at Algonquin College
=========================

The Ottawa Chapter of OACETT will be running a Professional Practice Examination (PPE) Seminar on the weekend of May 5-6 at Algonquin College. The PPE is one of the three requirements for certification with OACETT, the other two criteria being academic standing and relevant work experience. Anyone wishing to become an OACETT certified member (C.Tech., A.Sc.T. or C.E.T.) is encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. Completion of the PPE is also a requirement of joining OAAAS (The Ontario Association for Applied Architectural Sciences).

The cost of the course is $300 (plus taxes). A minimum of 20 registrants will be required in order for this course to run. OACETT reserves the right to cancel this course (with full refunds) if the minimum number of registrants is not reached. While the PPE is a requirement of certification, the Seminar is optional and members may choose a self-study in preparation for the exam. Registration for the PPE (including study materials, taxes and shipping) is $276.28. More information may be found at www.OACETT.org under the Membership Information / Get Certified links.

The next three PPE examination dates in Ottawa are May 12, September 15 and November 17. The cutoff for registrations in each of these exams is six weeks in advance of the exam date. An eight week period of study is recommended before attempting the PPE. Anyone registering for the course after March will not be permitted to enroll for the May 12 exam.

Anyone interested in registering for the PPE Seminar can find the registration form on the home page of the OAETT website at www.OACETT.org. For further information, contact Barbara Chappell, IETO Administrative Coordinator at <bchappell@oacett.org> or by phone at 416.621.9621 x244.
