Character Animation and Hot Links Within a Video

Could be used to create variety and interest during video creation.he examples below serves as an attempt on what can be done when integrating character animation, image editing, text-to-speech, and lip-synching technologies.

Example 1:  Promo for Circuit Analysis for Dummies by Professor John Santiago

• Based on my experimentation of raw YouTube videos on circuit analysis, a free-lance publishing agent found me on YouTube and asked me to write a book based on this topic. \
• The book got published in 2013 by Wiley. This year, international efforts with China and India according to my agent. This video is an attempt to market my book.
• Producing this video required me learned a little bit of photoshop and character animation.

 

 

 Example 2:  [Circuit Analysis II]: Introduction to Differential Equations

An example of taking an existing video done several years ago 2007-2008 timeframe (I think) and taking the audio to lip-synch with a particular character.

 

  Example 3: A Tutorial Introduction to Energy and Power Signals (Part 1)

 Note: In the 9-minute point, I have a hotlink in my embedded YouTube video where it points to my blog.

This is one example of how you can use hotlinks to go to a quiz, a follow-up video, or a marketing video to enroll in the BSEE or MSEE program.

Note a blog can be used to comment on a video and encourage student engagement

Example of Video Outro

Video Outro can put at the end of a video after technical content to provide a call-to-action (CTA)

Can be used to increase the number of subscribers who can refer or subscribe to the channel or recommend our online/on-ground engineering programs.

The video has one main  video and 3 smaller ones on the left side.  You can click on the videos and it will go to either another video or a website or other URL. 

 

Some Humor.  Could be used to add humor in a  video.  For example, you can set this one up in response for students who are asking a question

Investigation of Interactive Video Players

Example of Embedded Hot Links in a Video Player as well as a video playlist

• HTML 5 Web Video Player Lists with Embedded Links on the Video
• Embedding links within a video, you can control the flow of how you want the student to learn.   You can give the student an option to go to an earlier video or to a quiz for example.
• There should be list of videos on the right
•  If not, you may need to click an icon on the right to expand the list.
• Working on mixing videos with embedded interactive links to exercises or call-to-action activities for students
