The IEEE Student Branch of Tokyo Tech organized a talk on “How to get the job you love?” on 14th Nov. 2008. It was a talk aimed at helping students or graduate students realize what they want to do and find a job after graduation.

Graduate students, especially PhD holders often face the problem of not getting a job after graduation. In addition, many have no idea what they want to do after graduating. The topic of the talk will help graduate students identify with their graduating prospective jobs. All the students in Tokyo Tech are free to take part in it. The speaker is the president of CONNECTYOUK.K, who specializes in recruiting in the fields of IT, electrical and electronics engineering and automotive industry.

In addition to the formal presentation and Q&A, a free banquet was hold after the talk. Friendly talks over some food were beneficial for all the participants.

SPEAKER: Mr. Rainer Jeske Rainer Jeske’s daily task is to help top engineers find jobs with top companies. He is President of CONNECTYOUK.K., a high-tech boutique engineer recruiting firm headquartered in Marunouchi. During his presentation, he will explain with “real examples” from top Japanese engineering colleges how to get the job you love with leading and famous foreign and Japanese IT, Semicon, Electronics and Automotive/Industrial Firms. Those are rapidly expanding in the Japanese market.

And how can I find out my market value to get a good starting salary? – This was a talk that answered all these questions.
