Editor’s Turn
My thanks to all the volunteers that sent in your Society news for this issue: Marsha Tickman, Tony Mak, Gerald Witter, Rao Bonda, Rao Tummala, Ron Gedney, Merrill Palmer, Paul Wesling, C.P. Wong, Al Puttlitz, Bill Moody, Ephraim Suhir, Phil Garrou, Jim Morris, Ralph Russell, John Parry, Kouchi Zhang, Ed Podell, Olek Palusinski, Elke Zakel, Jeff Troutman, T B Lim, and MMF Yuen. One measure of the growing quality of this Society is that more and more of the news items pass through several volunteers, being enhanced at each step.
There is never a convenient time to assemble the newsletter. During the formation of this issue your editorial volunteers wished they could have concentrated on optimizing their tax forms, bragging on IEEE Fellow nomination forms, or pursuing the great ideas that hints of spring bring on. Because of this quarterly struggle, there is a growing belief that enhancing the web presence of the newsletter and dropping the paper copy would lessen the peak editorial load and enhance member value. Take the plunge
