Dear Colleagues,

The Systems Packaging Japan Committee cordially invites you to participate in the 2008 IEEE Systems
Packaging Japan Workshop (2008 SPJW), which will be held during January 28-30, 2008 at the Hotel de YAMA,
Hakone, Japan. This workshop is held every other year in Japan and the 2008 SPJW will be the twelfth one since
the first workshop in 1986. The 2008 SPJW will cover state-of-the-art technologies in all areas of systems
packaging from personal systems to high performance systems. All attendees are expected to be specialists
in the field and to participate actively in all discussions. We look forward to meeting a lot of systems packaging
specialists at Hakone.

Guidelines:
- Workshop official language is English.
- No abstracts or proceedings will be published.
- No picture taking or voice recording of presentations will be permitted.
- 20 min presentations (tentative) covering new development or critical overviews in following packaging
  technology areas:

Registration:
Participants are requested to complete the 'Registration Form' and forward it to Mr. Shinya Sasaki (e-mail:
sshinya@jp.fujitsu.com), Research Department of Electronics Packaging, Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. by email at
spjw@ml.flab.fujitsu.com or facsimile at +81-46-248-6000.
Registration fee is J¥42,000, to be paid on or before the deadline and J¥45,000 after the deadline. Registration
fee is due in full at the time of registration. It includes workshop participation, welcome reception, buffet dinner,
all luncheons, and the social event (technical & historical tour).
Registration fee does not include payment for hotel accommodations.

Deadlines:
Abstract submission (Official Use Only): November 20, 2007
Acceptance notification: December 1, 2007
Participant registration/registration fee: December 20, 2007

Hotel Accommodations:
The workshop venue, the Hotel de YAMA, can be reached in about 2 hours from Tokyo by train and bus.
Participants are requested to fill in the `Accommodation Form' and facsimile it to Mr. Kazuhiro Ohtaka
(Chief, Reservation Center, the Hotel de YAMA, Hakone) at +81-42-767-1012.
Accommodation fee per person: J¥12,000 (single room/breakfast), J¥10,000 (twin room/breakfast)
(In addition, a 5% tax and a 150 Yen fee for the hot spring bath will be charged.)
