Jerry
Ramie is an IEEE EMC Society member who helped in special ways
on the 50th Anniversary celebration of the EMC Society.
First of all, he developed a DVD on the history of the Society;
the 50th Anniversary Committee collected, cataloged, and retransmitted
historical information to Jerry. He in turn developed Power Point
slides that illuminated this material including oral remarks.
This DVD was first shown at the Hawaii symposium in the EMC History
Museum on Tuesday morning, July 10th. The DVD was shown on a continuous
basis the main three days of the symposium. The DVD has been distributed
to the Board of Directors of the EMC Society and it is in the
process of being distributed to the Chapter Chairs of the EMC
Society for showing at local chapter meetings.
Jerry also taped the interviews of the six Founders on Tuesday
afternoon at the Symposium and he took pictures of the Wednesday
luncheon with the Founders at the Convention Center.
Finally, Jerry shot video of the Founders’ War Story sessions
on Thursday morning at the 2007 IEEE International Symposium on
EMC. This video is being packaged as a DVD and will be distributed
to the Board Members of the EMC Society as well as the Chapter
Chairs before the end of 2007.
Jerry was given a unique award at the Friday Special Awards Session
at the Turtle Bay Anniversary Celebration to recognize his contributions
to the 50th Anniversary of the EMC Society. EMC
