Chairman Dan Hoolihan reports that he
and Warren Kesselman recently spent a day at the IEEE Headquarters
talking to other Societies about what they had done for their
50th anniversary celebrations. Many good ideas were reviewed and
we will be incorporating some of them into our plans for 2007;
the year of the 50th Anniversary of the EMC Society. The History
Subcommittee has initiated some exciting new projects and work
has also started on a Power Point presentation on our first 50
years. We have budgeted some EMC Society money for 2004 and we
will start doing some oral histories on early EMC Society Pioneers.
In addition, we are planning some special activities to honor
past-presidents of the Society at the Symposium in July 2007 in
Honolulu, Hawaii. Make your travel plans early! EMC
