The highly regarded workshop on ANSI ASC C63.4-2003
and CISPR 22 will take place over August 4-6 at the Sheraton Chicago
Hotel & Towers during the 2005 IEEE International Symposium
on EMC in Chicago. This workshop addressing the measurement of
radio-noise emissions is presented in two parts: C63.4-2003 and
a detailed comparison of CISPR 22 and C63.4 and associated changes
planned or in process. Class projects are included and results
                discussed.
These workshops are designed to increase your understanding of
the international methods of measurement of radio-noise emissions
from low voltage electrical and electronic equipment as it applies
to determining compliance with regulatory requirements for digital
devices and other similar products. The C63.4 workshop is preceded
by a half-day update and comparison of C63.4 and CISPR 22. Attendees
will be invited to present suggested improvements to C63.4 along
with their current experiences in using these standards. Expert
instructors include key contributors to C63.4, Don Heirman and
                H. Robert Hofmann, as well as Bill Hurst of the Federal Communications
                Commission (FCC).
