  4. A summary of 2000-2001 activities, as submitted by members of the committee, was presented. A detailed list appears in the annual report. (https://www.ieee-cas.org/~asptc/reports/2001_report.pdf)
  5. Rob Fox reported on the CAS Board of Governors meeting.
  6. The following technical activities for ISCAS 2002 were discussed by the committee:
    1. Special Sessions (Organizer)
      i. GHz-Scale ICs (P. R. Mukund)
ii. RF, IF and High-frequency Filters for Communications and Computer Systems (Y. Sun)
iii. Electronic Design for Quality (T. Tarim)
iv. High-Frequency Applications of Voltage and Current Conveyors (I. Filanovsky)
    2. Workshops/Tutorials
      i. Silicon-on-Sapphire/Silicon-on-Insulator Technology and Circuits (A. Andreou)
ii. Floating-Gate Devices, Circuits and Systems (P. Hasler, B. Minch, and T. Lande)
    3. Other Possible One- or Two-Day Workshops
      i. BIST and Digitally Controlled Analog Functionality (R. Geiger)
ii. Reconfigurable Analog Arrays for SOC (C. Toumazou)
  7. Hanspeter Schmid, TC Secretary/Webmaster, discussed the status of the ASPTC web page ((https://www.ieee-cas.org/~asptc/), and the e-mail list, noting the need to move the list to a new server.
  8. H. Schmid reported on technical guidelines for authors and reviewers. It was agreed that additional input will be solicited from the committee by email and will be integrated with the draft previously developed by R. Fox. A revised version will be circulated to the committee by email.
  9. R. Fox invited committee members to submit bipolar circuit papers to the annual IEEE Bipolar/BiCMOS Circuits and Technology Meeting. The submission deadline for abstracts is in mid-March. Experimental results are usually required for papers to be accepted.
  10. Nominations were solicited for a number of CAS Officer positions.
  11. Proposals were solicited for ISCAS 2001 invited papers, as well as for TCAS special issues. Proposals should be forwarded to R. Fox.
  12. Mona Zaghloul, CAS Vice President for Technical Activities, presented key results of a meeting of Technical Committees Chairs.
    1. Distinguished Lecturers Program. The technical committees should propose new speakers for this program.
    2. Articles for CAS Magazine. Circuits and Systems Magazine is looking for articles of general interest to the circuits and systems community.
    3. Benchmark papers. Technical committees are asked to prepare a list of "benchmark" papers that represent key areas of most active research interest in the Committees’ area of interest. The papers may be compiled into an IEEE Press book.
  13. The following (present at the meeting) where nominated as new ASPTC members: Julius Georgiou, Felix Lustenberger, Gabor Temes, Tadashi Shibata, Andre van Schaik.
  14. Tuna Tarim was unanimously elected Vice-Chair. Following this meeting, Robert Fox, outgoing Vice-Chair, takes over as Chair. Gert Cauwenberghs, outgoing chair, will serve as ASP Track Chair for ISCAS 2002. Hanspeter Schmid will continue to serve as Secretary/Web Administrator.
