Publications

All conference attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the Conference Record on cd-rom. Papers presented at the conference may be submitted to the Conference Record. They will be accepted if they adhere to the 5-page limit, conform to the formatting requirements specified in the template, and are submitted before the deadline of Wednesday, October 29, 2003. Files are to be uploaded to https://www.ieee.org/organizations/pubs/confpub. Use “nss-mic03” for the conference ID. Within 24 hours of submission, an electronic proof will be generated. The author is responsible for reviewing the proof by Friday, October 31, 2003. Templates will be available at the submission website.   They are also available here in MS Word and LaTeX formats.

Additionally, papers presented at the conference that contain important information of lasting value may be submitted for review and publication in the conference issue of the Transactions on Nuclear Science (TNS). The TNS is a premier peer-reviewed journal with a significant distribution within the nuclear science and medical imaging communities. Papers submitted for review and possible publication in the TNS must be submitted through Manuscript Central. When prompted for Manuscript Type during the submission process, select "Nuclear Science Symposium Manuscript" if your paper was presented in the NSS, RTSD, SNPS or the Satellite Workshops and select "Nuclear Medical Imaging Sciences Manuscript" if your paper was presented at the MIC. The preferred manuscript submission formats are Microsoft Word (.doc), rich text format (.rtf), PostScript (.ps), and PDF. These files should be uploaded to Manuscript Central, which will then convert the file to PDF format. Note that LaTeX files must be uploaded as .ps or .pdf to be readable by the reviewers. The files should adhere to the 8-page limit and conform to the 8. 5" x 11" U. S. standard. A template file is available in PDF and MS Word format through the NSS Editor's pages. John Valentine is the editor for TNS submissions from the NSS. Edward J. Hoffman is the editor for TNS submissions from the MIC.

The deadline for submitting papers to TNS is November 15, 2003. No papers will be accepted after this deadline without prior approval of the appropriate editor.

Copyright forms for the Conference Record are due during the conference. Copyright forms for the TNS issue are due only after the paper has been accepted for publication. The copyright form and author-information form may be found on the conference web site and at the Guest Editor’s office at the conference. These forms should be submitted directly to the appropriate conference editor.
