SEAGENS 10 MW GENERATING UNIT

Mr. Justin Bishop, Myriad Technologies

ABSTRACT

One of the greatest economic resources to be gained from the sea comes from its constant motion. With 70% of the earth's surface covered by ocean, the potential of wave energy is enormous. Myriad Technologies has pioneered many products, from highway safety barriers to ocean breakwaters, and they are now focusing their attention on renewable power generation through harnessing the energy in ocean waves.

U.S. Myriad Technologies will present their SEAGENS technology. The presentation will include an overhead/slide presentation of the company and their latest technology including and results of testing completed at Stevens Institute of Technology. The focus will be on a 10 MW generating unit designed to harness the energy of the ocean.
