Following 6 years of service in the
USAF, Mike attended Iowa State University. Upon receiving his BSEE in 1982, Mike
joined Union Electric in the Protective Relaying group where he has spent the
last 25 years. He received a MS in Engineering Management from the University of
Missouri - Rolla in 1988.
Mike has represented Ameren at the
IEEE PES Power System Relaying Committee since 1987. He currently serves as Vice
Chairman of the Line Protection Sub Committee and is also a member of the System
Protection and Control Task Force of the North American Electric Reliability
Council.
He is a Registered Professional
Engineer in Missouri and in Illinois, and enjoys spending his free time scuba
diving, being a scuba instructor, and growing about 100 roses.
