Speaker Biographies

 

 

Joseph J. Ostendorf - Supervising Engineer – IT-Development, Ameren Services Center/IT

Mr. Ostendorf has twenty-five years of progressive experience in delivering advanced information technology services of premise and network based solutions.  Key activities include consulting, analysis, design, project implementation, ongoing support and the management of resources to obtain desired objectives and results.  Mr. Ostendorf has been with Ameren for over 9 years and since March has been reassigned within IT to facilitate the Ameren business lines in achieving their Smart Grid initiatives.

 

 

David Haynes is a Staff Systems Scientist at Aclara Power-Line Systems where he works in the Systems Design group.

 

David is a senior member of IEEE, and has served in a number of standards development efforts. His more recent standards activities include IEC 61968-2, IEC 61968-9, MultiSpeak®, and IEEE P1704.

 

In 2008 David completed a MS in Electrical Engineering at the Missouri University of Science & Technology, and is continuing his education there in pursuit of a PhD in Systems Engineering. His research interests include Energy Storage.
