The HDDC is a shared service engineering
organization that centralizes display expertise and supports both the military
and commercial display businesses, reducing development, manufacturing costs,
and risk. The major functions provided by the HDDC include Design Development
Engineering, Advanced Technology Development, Strategic Sourcing and Technical
Project management. The HDDC has engineering operations in 3 locations:
Principal Electrical
Engineer in the
Perform assignments requiring use
and application of electrical engineering or scientific development principles
and techniques. Assignments usually consist of solving problems that are a part
of a larger project or system. Position may require travel between
Position Requirements:
- Comprehensive detail electrical
design knowledge of modern power processing techniques as applied to Avionic
Display backlight and power supply electrical designs.
-Experience in developing,
capturing and reviewing system level power requirements and generation of
corresponding power processing design solutions that meet established aircraft
power/EMI requirements described under MIL-STD-704 , MIL-STD- 461, and
DO160.
-Ability to provide technical
electrical design leadership and assume the roles and responsibilities of
assigned Cost Account Manager Position.
-Familiarity with EMC/EMI, thermal
stress, and other environmental issues and their impact on design methodology.
-Working knowledge of schematic
entry and layout tools (Mentor Graphics EPD, Zuken CR5000).
-A history of technical cost
sensitive analog innovation.
-Experience with low and medium
power high frequency dc/dc and ac/dc power conversion design (topologies,
components, control, and packaging). Apply your design expertise to provide
recommendations on alternate architectures.
-Familiarity with simulation
tools.
- Must be able to breadboard
/assemble, debug and conduct engineering tests to verify design performance
statically and dynamically.
-Must be able to perform and
document any load analysis, trade studies, module development, and control
circuitry.
-Candidate must be able to work
closely with other members of the design team.
The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, self directed and capable of
working in a multi-disciplined team environment with a positive attitude and
perform effectively. The candidate must have good oral and written
communication skills for conveying technical approaches, trades, risks and to
make recommendations through peer and customer reviews. The ideal
candidate is a willing mentor, multitasks successfully, is adaptable to the
changing demands of a competitive corporate environment. The engineer should be
able to effectively convey any information to minimize surprises.
EMI filter circuit design is
a plus.
Knowledge of analysis and
simulation tools, ADS, Saber, and Mentor System Vision is a plus.
Understands and Follows RC-MAP and
Technical Consistent Process (TCP) as they relate to the engineering and
project leadership environments is a plus.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in applicable engineering or
science field, and ten years of related experience, or, in the absence of a
bachelor's degree, sixteen years of related experience.
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card)
is required.
