Travel Information
Como can be reached by train from:
- Milan Malpensa Airport From Terminal 1, take the Malpensa Express train to Saronno. Change train to
Como Nord Lago. Trains depart at least 15 min after every hour (first at 8:15, last at 22:15). The approximate
duration of the journey is 1.5 hour, and the fare is Lit. 13,800. Please, check out the Ferrovie Nord Milano timetable (which will be updated after 9 June 2001) for the exact schedule.
- Milan Linate Airport From the terminal, take city bus #73 to layover in San Babila (fare Lit. 1,500, departure every 10 min, duration about 25 min). Switch
to Metro and take M1 line to Cadorna (same bus ticket to be stamped in metro station, 4 stops, duration 10 min). Switch to Ferrovie Nord Milano (Milano Nord Cadorna station) and take train to Como Nord Lago. Direct trains depart at least 40 min after every hour (first at 6:40, last at 21:10). The approximate
duration of the journey is 1 hour, and the fare is Lit. 5,500. Please check

- Centre of Milan Get to Metro Cadorna station and follow directions as above.
Needless to say, Como can be reached by taxi as well with a fare ranging from Lit. 180,000 to 200,000.
Once arrived at Como Lago train station, most hotels are in walking distance or can be reached by local taxi. Look for F.N.M. (Ferrovie Nord Milano) on the Map.
