Proposals are sought from those wishing to organize an Invited Session. An Invited Session consists of six papers, which should present a unifying theme from a diversity of viewpoints.
A Proposal for an Invited Session should be submitted as PDF file through the conference submission website (PaperPlaza), and must contain a summary statement describing the motivation and relevance of the proposed session, accompanied by the full list of invited papers. The maximum allowed size of the PDF file is 2 MB. Each Proposal for an Invited Session will receive a CODE from the system.
Please note that each paper in a proposed Invited Session will be individually reviewed, and that the proposed Invited Session itself will also be rated as a whole.
To ensure the continuity of the program and that papers addressing similar issues are grouped together, at the discretion of the Program Committee, individual papers may be removed from a proposed session and replaced by appropriate contributed papers. Likewise, selected papers from rejected invited sessions may be placed into the regular program.
All questions related to initial and final submissions of Invited papers should be directed to the Publication Chair, Ian Walker.
Invited papers linked to an Invited Session
Invited Papers are allotted 6 Proceedings pages. All manuscripts must be in 2-column format and meet strict page limits. For the purpose of review only, manuscripts may be up to eight (8) pages long. However, normal length for the final manuscript is limited to six (6) pages. Papers exceeding the normal length may be submitted upon payment of overlength page charges of USD 200 for each page in excess of six. A maximum of two extra pages above normal six are permitted. ABSTRACTS of Invited Papers will NOT be accepted. The manuscript must be submitted as a PDF file through the conference submission website (PaperPlaza). The maximum allowed size of the PDF file is 2 MB. General information on how to create IEEE Xplore-compatible PDFs by yourself or using IEEE PDF eXpress are given in the overview section of the submission policies.
During the submission procedure, authors of Invited papers should provide the CODE to the Invited Session proposal the paper is linked to, as provided by the session organizers.
Accompanying Video clips
As for Contributed Papers, a short Video Clip of 1-2 minutes may accompany a Contributed Paper. The video clip is intended to enhance the contents of a paper, both in clarity and in added value. While the paper should be self-contained (i.e., fully readable and understandable independently from the video), the video clip can be something like those shown during authors' presentations at the conference. Please, keep it short and focused.Video clips should be prepared without using "special" codecs (coders/decoders) in order to provide as much portability across platforms as possible. Accordingly, the most common media formats are strongly recommended (mpeg 1 or mpeg 4). Only freely available players (e.g., QuickTime, RealPlayer, Microsoft Windows Media Player, MPlayer) should be required for viewing the video.
Video clips are submitted with the Contributed paper through the conference submission website (PaperPlaza). The maximum size allowed of the video clip is 5 MB and the file should have the extension mpg.
If the paper is accepted and the video is rated pertinent, the video clip will be also included in the conference DVD.
