National Capital Land Transportation Committee

The National Capital Land Transportation Committee (LTC) is jointly sponsored by the Rail Transportation Division of the ASME and the Vehicular Technology Society of the Washington and Northern Virginia Sections of the IEEE.

LTC membership consists of approximately 140 active and retired electrical and mechanical engineers, managers, and other professional people interested in rail transportation issues associated with new equipment development, system and hardware design, communications, management concepts, system planning, etc.

The LTC has been meeting on a regular basis since 1978 with a current average attendance of 25 members. Our meetings are generally held on the second Tuesday of the month at the headquarters of the American Public Transit Association, 1666 K Street, NW, Washington, DC from September through June.

Guests are welcome. Membership in the IEEE or ASME is not required. Please contact one of the officers if you would like to receive our meeting announcements.
