2011 & 2012 WIE Committee Chair's Message

The 2009 & 2010 IEEE SG WIE AG committee has organized interesting and beneficial events such that it has won an award of IEEE SG WIE AG as the 2009 Honorable Mention Women in engineering Affinity Group of the Year In recognition of contributions on behalf of IEEE Women in Engineering. Thanks to our enthusiastic members and participants.

For the exciting 2011 & 2012, our activities will focus on two aspects. One is to organize technical events, such as, organizing Women In Engineering special sessions in international conferences and invites successful professionals to give technical talks. The other is to organize social events, such as, Belly Dance for International Women’s Day, fun farm tour, etc. From these two aspects of activities, our aim is to increase the profile of women scientists and engineers for better recognition in the work place and provide an avenue for women and men engineers to network and assist women in achieving work-life balance.

To all our participants, please continue showing us your support. And to all our new supporters, we bid you welcome and sincerely invite you to join us for all events.
