Anniversary Event Home Volunteer

Our conferences and events are the product of many hours of planning and preparation by our volunteer members. We put on these events as benefits for IEEE members.

As a volunteer, you will learn valuable project planning skills as well as leadership and organization skills. Plus, you will get a chance to work with some of the best engineers in the area. Our conference volunteers include professional members, retired members and life members, and graduate and undergraduate student members.

Job Description

Set Up You will help place signs at the reception and ballroom and help coordinate volunteer activities during set up. We are seeking many volunteers to help with registration assembling badges and ribbons from 4pm-5pm on the day of the event.

Webmaster You will help add content to the web site, in a timely manor.

Marketing You will help get the word out to members and potential sponsors. We need members to help phone other members that do not have email address. We will also be mailing postcards to members that don't have email.

Volunteers need to attend the volunteer orientation telecon approximately two weeks before the event (date/time tbd). Volunteers need to attend the volunteer orientation meeting before the event (date/time tbd).

Please note that volunteers do not obtain any discount. Everyone attending the event pays to attend. The IEEE Section covers the registration for the keynote speaker. See the note on the home page.
