Conferencia: Spectrum Managment in Cognitive Radio Networks
Descripción
Today's wireless networks are characterized by a fixed spectrum
assignment policy. However, a large portion of the assigned spectrum is
used sporadically and geographical variations in the utilization of
assigned spectrum ranges from 15% to 85% with a high variance in time.
The limited available spectrum and the inefficiency in the spectrum
usage necessitate a new communication paradigm to exploit the existing
wireless spectrum opportunistically. This new networking paradigm is
referred to as NeXt Generation (xG) networks as well as Dynamic
Spectrum Access (DSA) and cognitive radio (CR) networks. Figure 1 shows
a general architecture of CR networks. |

Conferencia: Wireless Underwater And Underground Sensor Networks
Descripción
Oceanographic data collection, pollution monitoring, offshore
exploration, disaster prevention, assisted navigation and tactical
surveillance are typical applications for wireless underwater sensor
networks. In this talk wireless underwater channel is explored, novel
medium access control and routing protocols will be presented. On the
other hand, sensor applications in soil media and tunnels have unique
communication problems. In particular, the wireless channel
pecularities in the underground make communication problems interesting
which will be discussed in this talk. Future research challenges will
be highlighted in both areas. |

Conferencia: Unified Physical Infrastructure (UPI) Vision
Descripción
Forward thinking organizations can improve enterprise effectiveness by
leveraging the vision of a Unified Physical Infrastructure (UPI).
PANDUIT’s UPI vision embodies the next wave of systems integration and
risk management by aligning and harmonizing critical systems – power,
communication, computing, security, and control – throughout the
enterprise. Ultimately, a well-planned, UPI-driven infrastructure
provides a safer, more secure foundation to maximize the life and
performance of your enterprise.PANDUIT is the premier expert on design
and deployment of UPI-based solutions that enable a truly unified
infrastructure. |
