Travel Assistance for Student Volunteers


We are pleased to announce that there is a limited amount of funding available to partially support student travel to HRI2007.  Students receiving support will be expected to volunteer time to help with on-site registration and with general duties, if needed, from 8 March (early on-site registration, tutorials and workshop) to 11 March, 2007.

Process for Requesting Funding

Send the following information to:

(1) Provide:
        (a) Your Name,
        (b) Your Affiliation (name and address of college/university),
        (c) Your Contact Information (email address and telephone number(s)).
 
(2) Indicate:
        (a) whether you are a part-time or full-time student, and include the name of your faculty advisor with email and telephone contact information;
        (b) whether or not you are a (co)author of a paper or poster at HRI 2007;
        (c) if you are receiving or requesting funding from the Young Researchers Workshop on March 8.
   
(3) A statement of your requested funding amount and a brief justification of your funding needs (250 words maximum).  Please include information about your area of study.

Note that you do not have to have a paper/poster in submission to be considered for financial support.
 
Deadline for submissions:  midnight EST, January 14, 2007.  Applications submitted after this date cannot be considered.
