IEEE ICARSC 2019 Conference - Program

The 19th IEEE International Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and Competitions (ICARSC'2019) is an international scientific meeting in the field of Robotics co-sponsored by the Portuguese Society for Robotics, IEEE and IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), through its Portuguese Chapter.

ICARSC 2019 will take place at Porto - Gondomar, April 24-26, 2019. The conference is organized by the University of Porto - Faculty of Engineering, INESC-TEC, LIACC, CISTER, P.Porto and by the Portuguese Society for Robotics.

ICARSC is typically organized in a single track to favor discussion and interactions, accompanied by poster sessions and keynote speeches. Contributions from the academy, industry, and outputs from the collaboration between industrial and academic R&D units are welcome. 

ICARSC 2019 Program features invited talks from Bruno Siciliano (PRISMA Lab, University of Naples Federico II, Italy) on "Robotic Dynamic Manipulation, Pedro U. Lima (Institute for Systems and Robotics, Instituto Superior Técnico, U. Lisbon, Portugal) on "Robot Competitions Driving Robotics Research" and Gerhard Kraetzschmar (B-IT Bonn-Aachen International Center of Information Technology, Germany) on “Developing Professional Robotic Service Applications”

As in previous editions, authors of the conference best papers will be invited to submit an extended and improved contribution to be published in Special Issues from top Journals as, for example, a  special section of Industrial Robot: An International Journal, from Emerald Group Publishing, with extended versions of the conference best papers, subjected to the normal journal peer review process.
