SCOPE

The symposium is focusing on progress and future of electric ship technologies in the 6 major areas:

  • Electric Power Generation
  • Electric Propulsion (Machines and Drives)
  • Power Distribution
  • Control and Automation
  • System Impact of Pulsed Power Loads
  • Electric Ship System Integration

Ship users (Navies, Coast Guards and Commercial Marines), port operators, shipbuilders, machinery and equipment manufacturers, classification societies, research institutes, universities and others from related organizations around the world are invited to present their views, opinions, experiences, and results of their studies, research, and development on these subjects. Panel sessions and poster presentations will also be held for these topics.

SUBMISSION OF DIGESTS

Those wishing to present papers are invited to submit digests to the Technical Committee, to arrive not later than March 15, 2005. Your digest (up to 1000 words) about purpose and content of the paper and detailed information on authors should be written in MS Word or PDF format and attached to your email to the Technical Committee at ests05-tcchair@ieee.org.

ACCEPTANCE OF PAPERS

The Technical Committee will accept papers on the basis of the digests submitted. The authors of accepted papers will be requested to submit the final manuscripts of their papers for inclusion in the Proceedings (CD-ROM) by May 31, 2005.
