Pushkar E. Godbole has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer
Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Electronics Engineering. Since 2001 he has been employed by the
Canadian Government in the Department of Public Safety. He is currently the Director General of the
Technical Services and Facilities Branch and is responsible for the physical
infrastructure and related services for the Correctional Service of
Canada. His specific areas of
responsibility include Security Electronics Systems, Telecommunications,
Facilities Construction and Maintenance, the Environmental Program, Food
Services and the acquisition of major security equipment and weapons. Prior to joining the Department of Public
Safety, he spent 21 years as an Officer in the Canadian Airforce and was
employed at various locations throughout Canada including working with
operational squadrons, managing avionics projects for military aircraft and he was
also involved in Research and Development activities for airborne radar systems
at the Defence Research Establishment Ottawa.
He is a Licensed Professional Engineer and holds a Commercial Pilots
License.
