Abstract Submission

Open Poster Program Submission Deadline: Tuesday, September 14, 2010

The purpose of the Open Poster (OP) Program is to further encourage sharing of possibly preliminary or incomplete results and to stimulate discussion at the Conference.

Two of the acceptance criteria for regular contributed papers will be relaxed for Open Posters:
  1. First-ever presentation is not a requirement. Papers very recently published, or presented at another technical meeting (e.g. MEMS 2010, Transducers '09), or papers having only incremental new results relative to recent presentations, will be considered.

  2. Completeness of results is not a requirement. Papers where results are preliminary, and full testing has not been completed, will be considered.
The work presented must fall within the scope of the conference as described below in Open Poster Topics, and must be presented in a technical fashion. Purely commercial or marketing materials are not acceptable. The General Conference Chair and the Technical Program Chair have the sole discretion to decide which posters may be presented. You must be a registered participant of the conference to present an Open Poster.

Open Poster abstracts are limited to one (1) page, including all text, references, and figures, and will be used for acceptance decisions and publicity at the Conference. They must be submitted in camera-ready form. Accepted Open Poster abstracts will not be published in the conference proceedings, but will be printed as a special handout and distributed to the attendees on-site. Unlike the final manuscripts or the Late News Abstracts, Open Poster submissions must be formatted for Standard US (8.5" x 11") paper size so please make sure to follow the template provided. The Open Posters themselves will be reviewed onsite as they are mounted on display boards; they will be distributed as a printed handout at the Conference. Authors of accepted Open Posters will be expected to participate in the Open Poster Session.

Once accepted for presentation, you will receive the guidelines to prepare your open poster presentation as well as a list of any changes that are required for your camera-ready one-page abstract.
