Important Dates for Authors:

Final full paper Submission Deadline is August 8 2017. The last is a hard deadline of full paper submission to be included in the SLED proceedings.

Final submission:

The steps required to finalize the upload process of papers are described in the following paragraphs:

1. Proceed with registration

   As a first step, you must register for the conference.

   DO NOT FORGET to finalize your registration: mandatory camera-ready paper & copyright form submission are expected!

   PLEASE NOTE that any accepted paper included in the final program is expected to have at least one author attending and presenting the paper at the conference.

2. Proceed with camera-ready paper and copyright form submission

   1. Prepare your camera-ready paper

      While preparing the final version of your paper, please, make sure to read the reviews of your paper and take into account the reviewers' recommendations for revising it. Each accepted manuscript should not exceed six (6) IEEE style pages. However, two additional extra pages are allowed incurring in an additional charge of 100€ per extra page.

   2. Instructions to Use PDF eXpress Plus:

      1. Go to the IEEE PDF eXpress Plus login page and register your paper. Conference ID: 40872X.
      2. If you are a new user click on "New Users - Click here" and fill in your information. You'll need the Conference ID 40872X to apply for the account.
      3. Follow on-site instruction for using IEEE PDF eXpress Plus. Once your PDF has been approved with clean compliance report, PDF eXpress PLUS allows each author to deposit his or her validated PDF on the site for collection by the conference's publications or technical program chair.

      4. After using the IEEE PDF eXpress system for file compliance, MAKE SURE to return to the SLED 2017 final submission via email to mario.cacciato@dieei.unict.it using the following text in the subject line 'Final Version - SLED paper code XXXXX".

         Do not forget to replace XXXXX with the paper code.

   3. Copyright Form

      An IEEE Copyright Form must be submitted for each paper. Please download, sign, and scan the signed copyright form to a PDF format file.

      For the "IEEE PUBLICATION TITLE (Journal, Magazine, Conference, Book)" item on the copyright form, please fill exactly: "8th IEEE International Symposium on Sensorless Control for Electrical Drives (SLED 2017)". This is a requirement from IEEE.

      For the "Paper #", please include the number of reference of the EasyChair submission.

      PLEASE NOTE that your paper will not be published in IEEE Xplore without a correct copyright form.

      Please send the signed copyright form to mario.cacciato@dieei.unict.it using the following text in the subject line 'IEEE Copyright Form - SLED paper code XXXXX'

      Do not forget to replace XXXXX with the paper code.

   4. Measures against plagiarism

      A paper detected with plagiarism will be excluded from the conference proceedings and IEEE Xplore. In addition, the authors' names could go to the black list of IEEE for detected papers with plagiarism.

      It is the responsibility of the author(s) to ensure that all conditions for paper publishing are met.

Publication:

Accepted papers will be included in IEEE-SLED 2017 Proceedings, to be submitted for inclusion to IEEE Xplore. Please note that final paper acceptance is conditional upon proper formatting (IEEE Xplore compliant) and satisfactory standard of English. At least one of the authors will be required to register and attend the symposium to present the paper in order to include the paper in the conference proceedings.
