Jayanthi Iyengar is Director of Hybrid Powertrain System at Chrysler, LLC. She has over 19 years of experience in Automotive industry (combined General Motors and Chrysler) , in Advanced Engineering, Product Development, Component Releasing, Applications Engineering, Quality Analysis, Program Management, Powertrain Systems Development, Engineering Process Development and Advanced Technology powertrain and Vehicle Development . Over the years, she has demonstrated ability to lead cross platform teams for product development and issue resolution. She has led the development of new technology in a cross-industry and cross-cultural environment. She has also led many cross-industry work groups at the Automotive Alliance and worked with regulatory agencies, such as EPA, CARB and NHTSA to ensure product compliance.

As senior manager of Hybrid System Integration at Chrysler , she is responsible for Integrating components of the two-mode Strong Hybrid powertrain and productionizing the Hybrid Powertrain for the Chrysler Group (CG) and Mercedes Car Group (MCG) vehicle applications starting with 2009 MY market introduction.

Jay will speak on the issue of Commercialization of Hybrid Electric Vehicles.
