A New Era Begins in the Asia Pacific Region

• Effective January 1998, ComSoc's organization has been restructured.

• As a result of the restructuring, the Asia Pacific Region has been assigned a Directorship, namely, the AP Director, and the former AP Committee (APC) has evolved into a Board, the AP Board (APB).

• Toward the end of 1997, the Nomination Committee of the APC recommended a candidate for the first AP Director, and the President of the Communications Society has affirmed the nomination.
