IEEE 中国专业委员会

IEEE专业委员会的英文名称为chapter,它是IEEE下属的各个专业技术协会为了更好地为不同地区的会员服务，与当地分会合作在地方设立的分支机构。一个专业委员会（Chapter）应包括最少12名IEEE下属的某个专业技术协会（Society）有投票权的会员，如果是联合专业委员会可以包括一组协会。IEEE专业委员会的成立需要向其所在地理区域的分会（Section）和专业技术协会（Society）提交请愿书。

自2012年起，IEEE 会员和地区活动委员会（MGA）对于成立IEEE专业委员会程序进行了修订，新修订的内容包括：

  1. 请愿书提交给IEEE MGA工作人员之前，其组织者必须取得所属分会执行委员会的签字认可。
  2. 组织者应完成成立后最初6个月的计划和活动，计划书已经包含在修订后的请愿书中。
  3. 请愿书中签名的成员要求至少是六个月IEEE会员。
