CHAIRMAN'S COLUMN
Dear IEEE Bangalore Section Members,
The last quarter has been full of technical lectures and tutorials arranged by professional chair (Mr. Hitesh Mehta) and Technical Chair (Prof. A Selvarajan). Various student branches also have carried out some student activities. In the coming quarter we are planning to have an annual symposium and tutorials on “Mobile Communications”. The IEEE Bangalore Section EXECOM has recently decided to increase the number of awards to the volunteers for their outstanding performance. Awards Chair will declare the format and relevant information through our website. We are also increasing the size of our website and try to make it more versatile with linkages to various society chapters. We are trying to have a good coordination with society chapters. Recently CPMT society chapter has arranged a course along with CEDT (IISc). The response has been very good. The chapter needs to be congratulated for the efforts. CPMT will also be conducting a conference in the month of December. Hopefully other chapters will follow the suit. The IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Bangalore Chapter is also arranging a symposium in the month of August along with other professional bodies.
It will be our endeavor to spread professional and technical activities of the Section along with all the society chapters and serve our members professionally in the coming months.
