CALL FOR PAPERS

Multimedia communications is critical in satisfying the service requirements of many practical applications. However it is a challenging task to provide these services, especially for the bandwidth starved wireless channels. Signal processing is playing an increasingly crucial role in providing efficient multimedia communications through wireless channels. This symposium will provide a forum for the researchers from academia and industry to exchange and discuss their latest ideas in these and related areas.

Original papers/contributions based on theoretical/experimental/simulation research, design, development are solicited. Accepted papers will be presented in the symposium and published in the symposium proceedings. Broad areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

Internet Telephony Security and Privacy Quality of Service Optical Networks Mobile Computing Communication Networks		Wireless Technologies Multimedia Communications Multicasting Neural Networks Signal Processing Adaptive Signal Processing

Important dates:

Extended Summary Due: 3 September, 2001
Notification of Acceptance : 1 October, 2001
Final paper due in camera-ready form: 15 October, 2001

Authors of accepted papers are required to register for the symposium and present their papers in the symposium. Second class train fare may be available to authors on request.
