The proceedings of the Conference holds within its covers 39 peer-reviewed presentations submitted by experts, faculties, academicians and research scholars from various distinguished institutions and establishments. Out of these 39 presentations only 32 (thirty two) were delivered in person.
The Organizing team is very grateful to IEEE Calcutta section for the recognition that it gave for the conference. This international recognition of the Conference made our effort more praiseworthy and acknowledged. We are very grateful the members of the IEEE Calcutta section for giving us this unique opportunity. We place on record the support of Prof. K K Mallik, Past Chairman IEEE Calcutta section, Prof. Salil K Sanyal, Past Chairman, Prof. Chandan K Sarkar Vice Chairman, Prof. Mita Nasipuri, Chairperson, Computer Chapter, IEEE Calcutta Section for their constant support and guidance. EE deptt. Of JIS College of Engineering has organized a National Conference entitled 'Energy system Planning,Implementation and Operation' on 19th August at New Auditorium of the college campus.Around two hundred participants was there including faculty members,Research scholars, practicing engineers and students. The conference was sponsored by AICTE,New Delhi and technically co-sponsored by IEEE,Calcutta section.
Prof. A. Guha, Director of JISCE welcome first all dignitaries to the conference. Many eminent personalities like Prof. A. M. Roy, Ex-Prof.of NIT, Durgapur and JISCE ,Prof. N.C. Ganguly, Ex Principal of NIT,Silchar and JISCE delivered their nostalgic experience in our college previously.
Prof. Sujit K. Biswas of J.U was one of the Key speaker of the conference and delivered his speech on 'Power Electronics'. Prof. Abhinandan De of BESU and Prof. Amitava Chatterjee of J.U were another two speaker of the conference.
The Program was coordinated by Dr. S.K.Mitra, Head of EE deptt, JISCE and Mr.Snehasish Pal,Program Chair of the conference.
In second half, technical session was Chaired by Prof. S.Goswami of JU and the session ended by a Valedictory session.

...Sri Vimal Prakash as Chairman-ELDB, reminded the audience of for President of India H.E. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's view that energy independence was the lifeline of a nation. Quoting the statistical data on the present availability of different energy sources, he observed that 57%of rural population was still without electricity, and that the power sector was yet plagued with shortages and poor quality like fluctuating voltage and harmonics in frequency. He stressed on the need to develop sources of natural gas and renewable energy besides conservation of energy and improvement of energy efficiency for realizing energy independence....
