General Information

IEEE Power Engineering Society besides holding the General Meeting every year in North America has streamlined Regional Conferences, like POWERCON for Asia Pacific, POWERTECH for Europe-Africa-Middle East once in two years, and likewise for North and South America. In 1996, the IEEE PES India Chapter operating from Delhi, IEEE Delhi and Uttar Pradesh Sections organized PEDES-96 Conference in Hotel Hyatt and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India. At the behest of PES Asia Pacific Region, Joint Chapter of IEEE Power Engineering Society and Industry Applications Society in Delhi and IEEE Delhi Section have come forward to organize PEDES-2006 from December 12-15, 2006 in Delhi, the capital of India. The tutorial session will be held at IIT Delhi and the conference sessions will be held at Marriott WelcomHotel, New Delhi. Four IEEE Societies, namely, PES, IES, PELS and IAS have agreed to be the Technical Co-Sponsors of this Conference. The Organizing committee of the Conference invites active participation and support from power industry, consultancy firms, and standards and regulatory bodies such support and involvement will benefit all the above groups. ________________________________________ Conference supported on reciprocal basis by:
