1. Tour & Sightseeing


You can arrange a historical or leisure tour to the places of interest in Melaka. The easier way is by using ‘Red Double Decker Bus?or Panorama Bus services.

The Red Double Decker Bus route only covered the historical sites around Melaka City. The fare is priced at RM 5.00 per adult per day. Travelers can hop on this bus and hop off to see the sites at your own leisure. Then, hop on the next bus for the next site. This is certainly a good and cheap way to see Melaka historical sites for the whole day. The operating hours are from 7.00am to 10.00pm daily. Double Decker bus will come just after the hour.

Besides this double decker bus, another bus under Panorama Melaka single decker bus takes passengers to outskirts of Melaka. Costing only RM 2.00 per person for a day fare, you can go to Melaka Sentral, Melaka library, Melaka Hospital etc. Similar to the Red Double Decker Bus, visitors can hop off at a historical site and hop on again on the next bus to another historical site. The Panorama Bus comes at half past the hour.

2. River Cruise

The river was the main artery of trade for Melaka in its heyday when it was bustling with traders from all around the world.

Some buildings from that era still stand majestically by the river, which is also lined by old villages, or kampungs, and modern day buildings.

The 45-minute cruise is accompanied by an entertaining and informative commentary. And, for just RM8, it's a good bargain. See parts of historical Melaka, get a history lesson for next to nothing, and never break a sweat!

3. Menara Taming Sari

Menara Taming Sari which was opened on 18th April 2008 has become another unique attraction for Melaka. The tower is located in Jalan Melaka, Banda Hilir, one of the popular destinations for tourists. The 110 meter viewing tower was designed based on the legendary Taming Sari Keris, used by the Malay legendary warrior Hang Tuah.

Menara Taming Sari was the First Revolving “Gyro Tower?in Malaysia and this title is endorsed by Malaysia Book of Records. The tower offers a nice view of Melaka from the observation deck. Among the interesting & historical sites is Banda Hilir, Dataran Pahlawan, Melaka Straits, TUDM museum, Stadthuys, Saint Pauls Peak, Independence Memorial, State Mosque and Melaka Island. The ride experience will make the tower is a must visit destination to all.
