Welcome to the Central Georgia section of the Institute of Electrical
and Electronic Engineers.
August Meeting The August meeting will be a tour of the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG) training facility in Forsyth GA.
We will meet at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, the 18th of August at the MEAG facility on Power House Road, east of Forsyth.
MEAG includes 49 Georgia communities, 2,069 megawatts of generation, and 1,300 miles of high voltage transmission lines.
MEAG consists of the city owned utility systems and independent generators. MEAG monitors and advocates on energy issues at the
state and federal levels.
