Central Georgia IEEE Section 2003 Meeting History


August 2003 Meeting Our last IEEE meeting of 2003, was on Tuesday, August 12, 2003, at the Fort Valley Utility Commission in Fort Valley GA. Zac Gowen, Network Administrator, gave us a presentation on the Fort Valley High Speed Wireless internet service. Data speeds for the service reach 1.5 megabits per second. Antennas have been mounted on two water towers in east Peach county. The service is available in Fort Valley, Byron, and portions of west Houston county. Thanks for Zac and the folks at the Utility commission for a good presentation. Afterwards, we supped at Taptio Mexican Restuarant.
